Dhul-Hijjah begins at Maghrib on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 based on multiple authentic sighting reports. People have sighted the moon in several localities including Bronx, NY, Springfield, VA and in Trinidad. As such, the 1st day of Dhul-Hijjah will be Wednesday, October 17, 2012.
Eid-ul-Adha will be on Friday, October 26, 2012. An early Eid Mubarak to all from the Chicago Hilal commitee.

The Chicago Hilal Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 (Dhul-Qadah 29, 1433) to determine the start of Dhul-Hijjah. Dhul Hijjah 10, 1433 (Eid-ul-Adha) will be on either Friday, October 26th or Saturday, October 27th.
