Dhul-Hijjah 1st, 1436 will be on Tuesday, September 15th, 2015. There were no authentic reports of the moon being sighted anywhere in North America. As such Dhul-Qadah will complete it’s cycle of 30 days and Dhul-Hijjah 1st, 1436 will begin at Maghrib on Monday, September 13, 2015.

No reports of the moon being sighted in the West Coast have come in thus far. We will continue to reach out to our contacts in the region before making a final decision.
8:00pm
We have reached out to our contacts on the East Coast, Florida and Texas and have not received any reports of the moon being sighted in any of those localities. The committee will reach out to our contacts in the West Coast once the sun sets in that location. Sunset in the West Coast will be at approximately 7:20PDT (9:20CDT)

The Chicago Hilal meeting is in session. We will be reaching out to our contacts as the sun sets throughout North America.
