Ramadan 1447

The Chicago Hilal Committee will convene on Tuesday, February 17^th, 2026 after Asr to determine the beginning of Ramadan 1447.

• If the moon is sighted, Ramadan will begin on Wednesday, February 18^th, with the first Taraweeh prayer taking place on Tuesday, February 17^th.
• If the moon is not sighted, Ramadan will begin on Thursday, February 19^th, and the first Taraweeh prayer will be on Wednesday, February 18^th.
