The Chicago Hilal Committee received no valid sighting reports on Monday, December 10, 2007 (Dhul-Qadah 29, 1428). Dhul-Qadah will finish its course of 30 days. Dhul-Hijjah 1, 1428 will be on Tuesday night December 11, 2007/Wednesday December 12, 2007. Accordingly, Eid-ul-Adha will be on Friday, December 21, 2007. We wish everyone a blessed Dhul-Hijjah and an early Eid Mubarak!

The Chicago Hilal Committee will be holding its meeting on Monday, December 10, 2007 at theIslamic Center of Chicago (ICC) to determine the start of Dhul-Hijjah and consequently the date of Eid-ul-Adha (Dhul-Hijjah 10, 1428). The possible dates for Eid-ul- Adha are Thursday, December 20, 2007 or Friday, December 21, 2007. The most likely date according to astronomical information is Thursday, December 20, 2007.
