The Chicago Hilal Committee has determined that Sunday, May 21st will be the first day of Dhul-Qadah 1444. The Moon was NOT sighted, therefore Shawwal will complete its 30-day cycle.
Note:
The committee will convene on Sunday, June 18th to determine the start of Dhul-Hijjah 1444. If the moon is sighted, Monday, June 19th will be the 1st of Dhul Hijjah and Wednesday, June 28th will be Eid-ul-Adha. If the moon is not sighted, Dhul Hijjah will begin on Tuesday, June 20th and Eid-ul-Adha will be Thursday, June 29th.
