The Chicago Hilal Committee did not receive any sighting reports on Wednesday September 20th (Dhul-Hijjah 29, 1438).
Consequently, Dhul-Hijjah will complete its full cycle of 30 days, and Muharram will begin at Maghrib on Thursday , September 21, 2017. The 1st of Muharram will be Friday, September 22, 2017.
We would like to welcome the month of Muharram and the year 1439 Hijri.
The 10th of Muharram (Yawmul Ashura) will be on Sunday, October 1st.
