The Chicago Hilal Committee did not receive any reports on Friday, August 30 (Dhul-Hijjah 29, 1440).
Consequently, Dhul-Hijjah will complete it’s cycle of 30 days, and Muharram will begin at Maghrib on Saturday, August 31, 2019.
The 1st of Muharram will be Sunday, September 1st.
We would like to welcome the month of Muharram and the year 1441 Hijri.
The 10th of Muharram (Yawmul Ashura) will be on Tuesday, September 10th.
