Eid Mubarak! The moon was sighted in several places including multiple locations in Florida and Texas on Thursday, September 9, 2010 (Ramadan 29, 1431). Eid-ul-Fitr (Shawwal 1, 1431) will be Friday, September 10, 2010.

The Chicago Hilal Committee will meet tonight beginning at 6:00pm CDT. The first update with regards to the start of Shawwal (Eid-ul-Fitr) will be around 7:45pm CDT.
Eid-ul-Fitr (Shawwal 1, 1431) will be on either Friday, September 10, 2010 or Saturday, September 11, 2010.
